Tickets one-day seminar „Pain update – with Tasha Stanton“, Zurich, 13. August 2020, course fees: 230 CHF Early Bird / 250 CHF Standard Fee. Language: English
The brain in pain or taking pain science to the clinic
This one-day seminar focuses on the changes that occur in the neural system when there is chronic pain. You will learn how this can mean that how much you are injured does not relate to how much pain you feel.
Tasha Stanton will talk about ways how you can explain this to your patients. She will also explain how changes in the touch and motor systems can give us ways to talk to our patient about the involvement of the brain in pain. Myths about chronic pain may falsify patient’s image of pain and what they can do about it.
Tasha is an expert in translating pain science into practicable therapy language you can use in your daily work with patients and athletes. You’ll benefit from the understanding of the neurophysiological processes in acute or chronic pain in order to educate and help your clients with their pain issues.
Goal of this one-day course
This compact seminar will get you up-to-date on what’s going on in pain research and provide you with practical tools for your daily business as physiotherapists, occupational therapists, osteopaths, sporttherapists, doctors, nurses, and everyone who works with people who experience any kind of pain.
